Transforming Rural Communities through Regenerative Agriculture

Empowering smallholder farmers in Central America with technology, resources, and income opportunities for a more resilient future.

About

Who we are

Cosecha Impact Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to ending rural poverty and building resilient farming communities in Central America through the power of regenerative agriculture. We partner with farming households in remote, hard-to-serve communities through a locally-designed and led program model that addresses the multidimensional challenges facing smallholder farmers. Our technology-enabled outreach program focuses on the fundamental factors that drive increased agricultural income and unlock new income generating opportunities. By applying a rigorous, data-centered approach to livelihood development and equipping farmers with the critical resources and technology to succeed, we help move thousands of households out of poverty (>$3/day/capita) and toward a more secure and resilient future.

Our Model

Integrative approach to smallholder prosperity

In Central America, agriculture remains the most promising livelihood strategy for poor and vulnerable rural households. Yet smallholder farmers face mounting obstacles in the form of climate change, land degradation, market volatility, and limited access to resources. Our community-centered program combines complementary components in a whole-systems approach that empowers smallholder farmers to respond to these urgent challenges and build sustainable pathways to prosperity.
